Meet the Team: Chris Davis

Role: Writer

Favorite Games: Dynasty Warriors Series, Civilization Series, Metroid Series

Who is he?

Chris is a guy that enjoys spending time with his loved ones and close friends. He has taken on the role of caretaker to the developmentally disabled community for the past three years and enjoys every minute of it. He is an avid cook and would love nothing more than to just make a meal for those closest to him. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cleveland State University with a degree in psychology.

How did we meet him?

Chris and Ash became friends when they met at a community college many years ago. Since then they always kept up with each other’s business and eventually he was invited to join the team as a writer.

His views on writing in modern games

Writing on such a visible and viscerally interactive platform such as gaming is a challenge in blending existing tropes with new experiences. It requires content creators that are willing to expand the horizons of the historically narrow scope of characters, and branching out into topics that are mature and complex. The idea of what a ‘gamer’ is has changed significantly since the days of the NES, and it is our responsibility as writers to recognize and respect that.

Meet the Team: Luis Augusto

Role: Sound Designer

Favorite Games: Legend of Zelda Series, Skyrim, Metroid Prime 2

Who is he?

Luis is a down-to-earth guy that loves spending time with his dog or going out to explore the San Francisco area. In 2014 he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Berklee College of Music and immediately invested in his career by building his own custom built Hackintosh to give him a strong platform to launch his career.

How did we meet him?

Luis started his path towards Clever Crow Games long ago with his interest in web design and programming that would eventually lead him to attending the 2013 Game Developers Conference. It was there that we connected to Luis through a friend, exchanging information and kept him in our network as we grew as a company.

His work

Luis has been at the helm of several web sites in his early career as well as participated in several content creation events. His work can be seen in his participation with the Sintel open source movie project: An example of sound replacement in digital media.

Later he participated in the 2014 Global Game Jam wherein he acted as Audio Programmer and Sound Design for Hue Shift: A puzzle/platform game about colors.
